Can't believe how much these have grown since I last looked at them. Then, they just had their noses poking through the soil. Now, they're in full marbled leaf and covered in dark red flower buds. I have two clumps courtesy of gardening friend Marjorie - a true plantswoman. It had gone rampant in her garden so I got given some. The second clump was actually an afterthought / growth of the trillium after it had been dug up and I didn't expect to actually take. But I was mistaken! I managed to share some of the plant with another gardening friend, Pam, and she emailed me this yesterday to say hers was in full bloom too. They are lovely if rather difficult plants, growing only where they want to and not where the gardener wants them so am feeling priveleged they've decided to like me!
